Santo Tomas, Menorca is situated on the south coast of this idyllic island
and is ideal for families and couples, looking for a holiday of sun,
sand and sea. Santo Tomas holidays offer you the chance to totally relax
in a peaceful, tranquil atmosphere. You can experience the stunning
white sands of Santo Tomas beach that shelve gently into the cool
crystal waters of the Mediterranean. There is a pedestrian walkway
behind the beach dotted with bars and restaurants which is fantastic for
a leisurely evening stroll and viewing the sunset. Day trips to Mahon or
Ciutadella are a must while in Menorca, there are also two nearby
markets to visit, Mercadal on a Sunday and Migjorn Gran on a Wednesday.
The holiday resort of Santo Tomas is the principal coastal development
of the municipal district of es Migjorn Gran, almost midway between the
resorts of Son Bou, and Cala Galdana, on the central southern coast of
Menorca.
As far as the distance is concerned, the 30km journey west from the
Aeropuerto de Menorca on the outskirts of Mahon, to the centre of Santo
Tomas is a fairly short one, however, as the roads on the island aren't
particularly fast, the actual journey time for a coach transfer usually
takes around 30 to 40 minutes from the time of leaving the airport
grounds.
Son Bou is a mere 45minute walk along the cliffs, passing the infamous
nudist beach! Hotels in Santo Tomas offer good value half board or bed
and breakfast and like most accommodation in Santo Tomas are Family
friendly.
